A lovely, down-to-earth Thai restaurant with generous portions and really tasty food. I tried the crab rangoons for the first time and they were excellent. For my main, I had the Pad Cashew Nut which was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The only slight downside was that our waiter came across as a little stand-offish at times, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Thankfully the food more than made up for it, and I’d still happily return.

I'm telling you, no other Thai place matters in Orlando now that Koon Thai has arrived. Also, forget delivery....it's eat onsite or nothing. Everything here is wonderful: tasty, well prepared, and comforting. It's no surprise, the owners aren't local -- they arrived from the North to bring your palate the best Thai cuisine in Orlando. Run to this gem, before everyone else finds out.

★★★★★ Just tried Koon Thai Restaurant and it was outstanding. We started with spring rolls and tom kha soup—both super flavorful. I had Pad Thai with beef and my company had Pad See Ew, and everything tasted as authentic as it gets. Portions were generous and the food was packed with flavor. A small detail that really impressed me: they serve filtered water—no chlorine taste at all. Don’t let the facade fool you—this is a true hole-in-the-wall spot where the food makes up for everything. Highly recommend!

My wife and I are from Michigan and had to stay an extra night in Orlando due to a flight cancellation. We wanted to eat at a local restaurant and decided to try Koon Thai. We browsed the menu and placed an order for one Tom Yum soup (to share), two Red Curry dishes (with mushrooms added), and a Thai Iced Tea. When the soup came out we both took a taste and agreed that one soup was not enough to share so we ordered another one. Everything was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. The food presentation and the heart imprinted rice with colorful edible flower was a beautiful addition that added to our experience. The owners stopped by frequently to check on us and we couldn't stop praising how great the food tasted. If I lived in the Orlando area I would be eating here weekly.

This is one of those restaurants where ratings meets reality. Truly a 5 star restaurant. We went there almost 3:30-4 in the evening… ordered food for dine in. Everything we ordered was superb to look at and taste wise. Truly amazing experience. Ambience as well is great. Must try. Only thing I will call out… may be it was the odd time we been there… at the counter while paying the bill.. there was no adult and kid wasn’t appropriate to take the bill and when we requested for take out boxes.. it’s like every kid I believe … meaning when they are so much into screens and suddenly some adult ask for something .. kid felt annoyed… that might not be a good thing to do for the restaurant’s own good.
